POLICE are investigating after a man was assaulted during a robbery.
The victim, a man in his 40s, reported to Essex Police he had been assaulted by two men and a woman leaving him with an injury to his eye.
In the robbery they had stolen the victim’s bank card, phone and keys.
The incident took place in an alley between Long Meadows and Dean Close, Dovercourt at about 12.50am on Monday.
Officers are now investigating the robbery and have asked witnesses to come forward.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “If you saw anything, have any CCTV or dash cam footage, or have any other information, please call us on 101 quoting the crime reference number 42/50928/20.
