A DRIVER had a lucky escape after his van crashed into the back of a tractor.
Police were called to the A12 near to junction 21 at Witham on Saturday to deal with the incident but remarkably no one suffered any serious injuries.
A picture tweeted from the scene by PC Jon Hardy showed a small white van had collided with the central reservation after hitting a tractor.
PC Hardy wrote: “The tractor the van driver hit had no damage caused to it.
“The driver misjudged the tractor’s speed causing him to collide with it. The van driver has been reported for careless driving.”
An eyewitness said they had seen the van spin round 360 degrees before it hit the central reservation.
Essex Police said it will not be carrying out any further investigations because it was a minor collision.
