A PERVERT has avoided returning to prison despite ignoring an order which said he was banned from deleting his internet history.
Brian Paterson, 77, was handed a ten month jail term in 2017 after more than 10,000 indecent images were uncovered on his devices.
Police now make regular checks on him because of a sexual harm prevention order and during one he was found to have deleted his browsing history by performing a factory reset on his computer.
He admitted breaching his order at Colchester Magistrates’ Court and was handed a two month curfew banning him from leaving his home in Gurdon Road, Colchester, between 7pm and 7am.
He must attend a rehabilitation programme, pay a £90 victim surcharge and £140 costs.
