A man has been arrested on suspicion of courier fraud.
Police arrested a 21-year-old man from Haringey following reports an 84-year-old man was scammed.
It was reported the elderly man from Maldon was called on Tuesday, January 14 by someone claiming to be a bank manager.
He was told there were issues with his bank cards before handing them over to a man who attended his address.
A three-figure sum was taken from his account.
