A DRINK driver has been banned from the roads for more than a year.
Michael O'Sullivan was pulled over in Great Notley Avenue, Great Notley, after being spotted driving away from The Prince Louis pub.
Police smelt alcohol on his breath and he failed a roadside breath test.
The 44-year-old was found to have 53mgs of alcohol per 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35.
He admitted drink driving during a Colchester Magistrates' Court hearing.
O'Sullivan, of London Road, Great Notley, was disqualified for 13 months and fined £1,000.
He must pay £85 costs and a £100 victim surcharge.
