A POETRY lover has released his 25th poetry book, which concentrates on Harwich issues.

Collin Rossini, of Main Road, Dovercourt, writes a short poetry book each year celebrating Harwich and the surrounding areas.

In the past 25 years Mr Rossini has donated all the books’ proceeds to Harwich RNLI and has raised more than £15,000 for the organisation.

He said he has always supported the RNLI because he has spent a long time in the Merchant Navy.

He added: “This year’s poetry book, called Local and Global, concentrates on climate change.

“I feel I’m obliged to write about Harwich because of the marine environment.

“Unfortunately we don’t live in a time with great interest in poetry, but it has begun to raise again and I will keep pushing it.”

The book is available in Turners Service Centre, in High Street, Dovercourt, for £4.95.
