A POPULAR Turkish restaurant has reopened at a new location after undergoing a major renovation.

Sark, on Maldon High Street, has moved to new premises.

Bosses have revamped the eating spot after it proved to be hugely popular among Maldon residents.

Councillor Michael Pearlman said: “They’ve been so successful and the new venue is stunning.

“It’s a fantastic restaurant – probably the largest in the district.

“It’s going to be really beneficial for the High Street and a huge destination point for Maldon.

“They’ve spent a fortune on it, and we should be supportive of local businesses.”

Around 200 people attended the restaurant on Tuesday evening after it was reopened to the public by Mayor Flo Shaughnessy.

The meze grill offers authentic Turkish cuisine and hospitality.
