1. ANGUS Rocks featuring Slay Duggee live, Colchester Arts Centre, Church Street, Colchester, tomorrow, doors 1.30pm. £8. 01206 500900

HERE’S something you don’t see everyday. Four Colchester dads, dressed as dogs, playing heavy metal versions of kids songs for children. Expect covers of Everything is Awesome and You’ve Got A Friend in Me, among others, in a special concert raising money for the Team Angus charity.

2. RADIANT Vermin, Headgate Theatre, Chapel Street North, Colchester, until tomorrow, 7.45pm and 2pm (tomorrow), £14, £12 concessions. 01206 366000.

COLCHESTER’S Protocol Theatre return to the Headgate with a modern comedy that has a dark twist in the tale. Featuring Richard Conrad, Megan Sharman and Katy Slater, it’s already causing a bit of a stir on the socials.

IN recent years one of the most recognisable faces on the stand-up scene as well as the television, appearing on such panel shows as QI and Have I Got News For You. This is a sneaky peek at some of his latest material before he embarks on his 2020 tour.

ONE of the country’s premier wind quintets, and performing for Stour Valley Arts, the ensemble has broadcast regularly for BBC Radio 3 and performed in many major venues including the Purcell Room and Wigmore Hall.

EMILY and Hazel Askew have become known as two of the foremost performers and interpreters of English Folk Music.
