A MAN died in public toilets in Colchester town centre.
The East of England Ambulance Service were called to Osborne Street, Colchester, at 4.20pm on Wednesday.
They were concerned about a man's safety and contacted Essex Police who forced entry to a cubicle.
Sadly, the man died at the scene.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "His death is being treated as non-suspicious and we are preparing a file for the coroner."
A spokesman for the ambulance service said two ambulances and an ambulance officer were called.
An ambulance spokesman said: "It was following reports of a man found not breathing.
"Sadly, despite the best efforts of all involved, the patient died at the scene."
