Thurstable Sixth Form in Tiptree have had an incredible year!

The school in Maypole Road saw six of its Year 13s receive three or more A* grades or an equivalent.

The top performers included: Joshua Clark, Anthony Hark, Nathan Hey, Lewis Jaques, Aidan Kent and Mikaella McIntosh.

Gavin Muttock, head of Sixth Form at Thurstable, said: "We are really pleased with these results which reflect the dedication of our students and the excellent support they have received from their teachers.

"I would like to congratulate all our students and wish them all the best as they leave for a whole range of new courses, jobs and challenges."

Just over half of sixth formers at Thurstable received grades A* to A, with around 70 per cent of them receiving an A* to B grade.

All students received grades than fell within the A* to E category.

The school was proud it could offer its pupils the "best possible chance to succeed in their studies and meet their personal goals".

A spokesman added: "It is great to see such a large number of our students attaining the highest grades, and even better to be able to report that that all of our young people who were seeking a university place have secured one.

"This has been possible because of the hard work, commitment and dedication of our students and of our staff.

"These results also confirm the excellent support both groups receive from parents and from our governors."
