A THEATRE school is over the moon after performing a show in Paris.

Members of the Little Stars Theatre School, who train at venues in Wickham Bishops and South Woodham Ferrers, performed at Disneyland Paris and after passing through an audition they took months before.

Dozens of families accompanied the 77 dancers on the trip as well.

Little Stars principal Vicki Barrett said the whole experience was magical.

She said: “This audition was very difficult and took lots of preparation from both teachers and students.

“The day was incredible, and all of the students were outstanding during the audition day.

“We then had a very long week and a half wait, while our application and audition were considered by Disneyland.

“When we received confirmation in March, we were over the moon.

“The teachers and I revealed our success to each of the groups of students in our seven different classes with tear-jerking reactions.

“Over the next three months, the students worked tirelessly through their Little Stars classes, extra rehearsals and a professional recording day, impressing all the teachers with their progress, passion and dedication every week.

“Performers along with their families made their way to Disneyland Paris.

“We all stayed together in one of the Disneyland hotels and had a wonderful time exploring the parks and rides together.

“The performers took to the stage and presented their fabulous show to an auditorium full of family and friends and also the general public.

“At the end of the performance, there was a standing ovation from everyone in the room.

“The whole experience was magical and something we will never forget.

“The performers made me as the principal and our two fabulous Disney teachers so proud, we haven’t stopped beaming yet.”
