AN armed robber threatened staff and forced them to hand over hundreds of pounds at a shop in Braintree.
The incident happened at around 11.20am today, July 2, when a man walked into the Chelmsford Star Co-Op, in Cressing Road, and threatened staff with a knife.
He demanded cash before running away from the scene with a three-figure-sum of cash.
Police arrested a 22-year-old man from Braintree on suspicion of robbery at around 12.30pm and he remains in custody.
