A WOMAN was found dead at home after taking an overdose of prescription drugs, an inquest has heard.
Elizabeth Warner, 30, was found unresponsive at her home in Colchester on January 12.
Paramedics attended, but her death was confirmed at the scene.
Essex Police found no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
At Chelmsford Coroner's Court yesterday an inquest exploring the 30-year-old's death was opened and adjourned
Joe Lagrossi, coroner's officer, said: "A post mortem was carried out at Colchester Hospital on January 22.
"Following receipt of toxicology reports the provisional cause of death has been given as multiple drug overdose."
The drugs in question were issued to Ms Warner on prescription.
Senior Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray set a date for the full inquest of October 31.
She said: "I will need to see a copy of the postmortem, toxicology results and police statement.
"The family are welcome to send in anything they wish in writing."
