A PCSO has marked ten years serving the people of Essex.
Lee Compton started his career with Essex Police in 2009 where he was working in Tendring and covering St Osyth and Point Clear.
In 2011, Lee was moved to Colchester working on the Colchester Town Team and became a regular face in the town centre.
He has since covered all areas of Colchester and worked to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.
Last year, he returned to the town centre as part of the dedicated Colchester Town Proactive Team.
Lee said: “The highlight of my career so far would be receiving the Thieves award in 2013 for my work within the town centre.
“I very much enjoy being out in the town centre, speaking to visitors and residents.”
Sergeant Martin Willsher said: “Over the years Lee has formed an excellent knowledge of the area and is a familiar face amongst businesses, residents and visitors.
“Thank you, Lee, for your dedicated service to Colchester.”
