A man who was caught behind the wheel while he was more than double the drink-drive limit has been handed a 20-month ban.
Antony Salmon, 51, admitted to driving while under the influence of alcohol when appearing at Colchester Magistrates Court earlier this month.
Salmon, of Farriers Way, Great Notley, was found to have 87 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was stopped by police in his home road on March 30.
The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Magistrates disqualified Salmon from driving for 20-months, and ordered him to pay costs of £255, including a £120 fine.
