TEENAGER Callum Chamberlain is the toast of Braintree Golf Club following two holes-in-one in four days on different courses.
Competing in the Norman Garon Community Tour event - sponsored by the Essex Golf Union - at Colchester last Monday, 13-year-old Chamberlain, playing off a handicap of eight, scored 37 points including his first hole-in-one.
Then three days later back at his home club at Stisted, with his handicap cut to six, he did it again.
Competing in a the Townrow Treble - a Junior match against teams from the ladies and seniors’ sections - Chamberlain returned another 37 points, including a hole-in-one at the tenth.
There were some high scores in the Men’s Professional Cup at Stisted on Sunday and a countback was needed before Paul Vale, playing off 15, was declared the winner with 41 Stableford points.
On the same mark was Adam Crane (3) while Chris Stedman (13) finished third with 40.
