With exclusive streets and rural countryside to choose from there are quite a few properties in the town that sell for seven figures.

These mansions have things most homeowners can only dream of.

We've taken a look back at the sale data from the Land Registry for the last two years.

Here are the roads where you will have to part with between £800,000 and £1million to live in a rather grand abode.

Layer Road, Kingsford area

Layer Road boasts a number of quaint homes where the average house price is more than £900,000.

In the last five years just three properties have been sold in the area according to Zoopla.

Two homes sold on the road in 2017 and 2018 for £810,000 each.

Oxford Road

Oxford Road close to the town centre sits next to the Royal Grammar School.

The average house price is around £769,753.

Two homes were sold in the road in the last two years for £950,000 and £920,000.

Cambridge Road

Nearby Cambridge Road has proved popular for people selling up with ten homes sold in the last five years.

The average house price is £762,563.

Since January 2017 three homes have been sold at £1million, £930,000 and £865,000.

Fitzwalter Road

Fitzwalter Road off Lexden Road has seen five homes sold since January 2017.

The most expensive was sold for £1,200,000, closely followed by another at £1,150,000.

The other homes sold for £980,000; £910,000 and £820,000.

St Clare Road and St Clare Drive

Both St Clare Road and St Clare Drive saw homes sold for more than one million in the last two years.

In St Clare Road the homes went for £1,300,000; £1,225,000 and £925,000.

In St Clare Drive they sold for £1,240,000 and £1,150,000.

Willoughby Avenue, West Mersea

With homes just metres from the waterfront at West Mersea homes sold for more than £900,000 in Willoughby Avenue.

Since 2017 two homes were sold for £1,050,000 and £925,000.

Brook Street, Dedham

Constable Country was calling for three buyers when they snapped up homes in Dedham.

The three homes in Brook Street went for more than £900,000.

The most expensive was £1,115,000, while the others sold for £995,000 and £975,000.

East Street, Coggeshall

The popular road, which has views out across a park, saw three properties sold since January 2017.

The most expensive sold for £1,250,000 and was closely followed by one selling for £1,100,000.

A third home sold for £851,000.
