THESE old pictures of Greenstead from our archives show how the area has – and hasn’t – changed through the decades.
Known for being one of the biggest housing estates in the country, and for its very own ‘magic roundabout’, Greenstead was built on open fields more than 50 years ago.
These photographs include the fledgling days of the unique roundabout system as well as some of the incidents and issues it has faced.
It also shows the former school and its post office.
