TWO thieves who admitted snatching a car from Halstead town centre have been jailed.
Aaron Rowe, 22, and Ryan Boreham, 25, stole a Ford Fiesta from the high street at about 5.45pm on Sunday.
The pair were found with the car at around 8.15pm the same evening.
Rowe of Upper Fenn Road, Halstead was charged with taking a car without consent and possession of cannabis.
Boreham was also charged with with theft from a motor vehicle for taking the owner’s wallet, criminal damage to a police van, using threatening or abusive words or behaviour, and resisting a police constable in the execution of their duty.
The pair both admitted the charges after appearing at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Rowe was jailed for six weeks and ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge.
Boreham was jailed for eight weeks and ordered to pay £150 compensation and £115 victim surcharge.
