WOULD-BE thieves smashed a train station's ticket machine.

Police have released CCTV images of men they want to speak to after the incident at Marks Tey railway station.

Two men are said to have used tools in a bid to break open the ticket vending machine.

The damage meant the ticket machine was out of order for several weeks.

Officers believe the men shown in these CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation.

The incident happened between 2.37am and 2.45am on Tuesday, December 4 last year but details have only just been released by the British Transport Police.
