An eight year old girl has decided to donate 30cm of her hair to the Little Princess Trust.
Sophie Willis, who goes to Montgomery Junior School, was inspired to cut her hair after one of her friends did the same.
A lady with cancer, who had lost her hair, came into the school propelling her to make the chop.
The 30cm of hair Sophie has cut off will be sent to the Little Princess Trust to be made into a wig.
The Little Princess Trust makes real hair wigs which are given to children and young people who have lost their hair following cancer treatment and other illnesses.
Sophie has also been collecting sponsorships for the Little Princess Trust and has raised £615 for the charity.
Kelly Willis, Sophie's mum, said: "She's wanted to do it for ages but I kept saying no but in the end I gave in.
"She was so excited, not nervous at all. I was more nervous."
