A woman who shed six stone is using her success to help Slimming World members in Witham.

Deanna Innes-House dropped from 15st 6lbs to 9st 6lbs in just 18 months after joining the group.

Now she has shaped a new career for herself by training as a Slimming World consultant and has relaunched a group at Dengie Hall, Witham, which will meet every Thursday at 6.30pm.

The launch event, which took place on September 27 was attended by deputy mayor, cllr Clare Lager.

Ms Innes-House said: “When I first joined a Slimming World group, I never dreamed I would end up helping others to lose weight, but now I can’t wait to share my experience, insight and understanding to give the members of my group the support they need to reach their own weight loss goals.

“I once thought I was destined to struggle with my weight for the rest of my life, but Slimming World provides an eating plan, rather than a diet, and I found I could lose weight and never feel hungry.

"I have experienced myself and understand the challenges people face, which is why I will be there to support every one of my members to their chosen target weight.”

Ms Innes-House is also running a group at Southview School, Witham, every Wednesday at 5.30pm and 7.30pm.
