Pupils to take over Maldon museum on Friday
SCHOOL children will “take over” Langford’s Museum of Power this Friday.
Pupils from Wentworth Primary School in Maldon and St Andrew’s Junior School in Hatfield Peverel will screen films they have made about the museum, give guided tours and teach visitors including MPs John Whittingdale and Priti Patel how to make animations.
The children have been working with Signals Media Arts Centre, in Colchester, and Essex County Council’s museum development service.
Takeover day, co-ordinated by charity Kids in Museums, sees children work alongside staff and volunteers to participate in the life of the museum.
