PLANS to save money by powering council buildings with solar panels could be scrapped after the Government withdrew funding.
Ofgem’s Feed-in-Tariff scheme, used to install arrays at Great Notley Country Park, Lakes Road, Braintree Swimming and Fitness, and Halstead Leisure Centre, has been cut back.
Braintree Council is trying to push through schemes at George Yard Car Park and Witham Leisure Centre before changes come into effect on December 31.
