A dedicated teacher has enjoyed meeting with his former pupils at a reunion.
Bill Rollings, who turns 90 on Friday, was born in Halstead and attended Colchester Royal Grammar School before serving in the Royal Navy during the Second World War.
He qualified as a teacher in 1947 and took up his first teaching post at Bramston School, Witham, which is now Maltings Academy, as an English teacher.
More than 60 people attended the reunion, which was organised last Wednesday at the New Times in Tiptree, by his former pupil Margaret Maddocks, who now lives in St Nicholas Way, Coggeshall and attended the Bramston School while he was a teacher there.
