Marks and Spencer has announced it will be opening its new Braintree store on July 16.

The new Simply Food store, at Braintree Retail Park, has created 60 new jobs.

The 9,000 square foot store will stock more than 4,500 food and drink lines, including those from the new Summer of Flavour range.

It will also feature a bakery, a 50-seat café and offer the Shop Your Way service, giving customers the choice of ordering from the M&S catalogue in-store or marksandspencer.com, with free next day in-store delivery and collection.

Store manager Rodney Rajack said: “We are thrilled to be bringing the very best of M&S food to Braintree.

M&S Simply Food Braintree will be open between 8am and 9pm Monday - Saturday and 11am - 5pm on Sundays.
