Car catches fire while travelling along the A12
A CAR burst into flames while being driven along the A12.
Smoke began billowing out of the silver Renault Clio at about 11.20am this morning.
The driver managed to get into a layby, on the northbound stretch near Kelvedon and heading towards Colchester.
Firefighters arrived to tackle the flames which had engulfed half of the car.
The flames were put out after about 30 minutes.
