Liam Gallagher, former lead vocalist to the iconic Britpop band, Oasis has hit out at his brother Noel Gallagher after the lead guitarist was said to have "blocked" the use of the band's catalog in a new film.

The band's music, which includes hit songs like Don't Look Back in Anger and Wonderwall, was supposedly "blocked" by Noel.

Liam Gallagher attacked his brother online when asked by a fan: "Rasta, will oasis songs appear in your knebworth documentary?"

To which Liam replied: "No oasis songs as the angry squirt has blocked them he also blocked the oasis I sang for Taylor Hawkins tribute he’s a horrible little man."

Another fan added: "He was praising u on his last interview. This is maddening. The doc will still be excellent tho" before Liam said: "What he says and does are 2 different things he’s a sad little dwarf."

Noel Gallagher, who fronts the High Flying Birds, is yet to say anything publically about the comments and claims.

Liam Gallagher's Knebworth documentary

Liam Gallagher is set to release a new documentary in cinemas worldwide from Thursday, November 17 which details the singer's return to the Knebworth festival in 2022.

Recently, the singer performed once again at the event after some 26 years since his last appearance in 1996.

Why did the Oasis band break up?

Oasis broke up in 2009 after a falling out between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher.

Their tense relationship would come to a head when a band gig at the V Festival was cancelled due to Liam contracting laryngitis.

Noel claimed that the event had actually been cancelled because Liam was 'hungover.'

Liam sued his brother before Noel apologised and legal proceedings were dropped.

Later that month, the band was supposed to be playing at the Rock en Seine festive near the city of Paris before it was cancelled.

Soon after, Noel released a statement saying: "It is with some sadness and great relief...I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer"
