POLICE are appealing for information after "high-value surveying equipment" was stolen in Braintree.
It was reported three men pulled up in Frating Court in a silver Ford Transit before steal the equipment from a man working nearby.
The van was tracked to Redbridge, in East London, where the driver failed to stop when requested to by police.

Three men got out of the van and ran off along College Gardens.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called around 10.40am on Thursday, May 23, with reports of a theft on Frating Court, Braintree.
"The stolen items were located by officers. No arrests were made."
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Braintree CID on 101, quoting incident 367 of May 23.
