A Braintree business has been given the royal seal of approval.

The Duke of Kent visited electronic recycling company, RDC, on Thursday to present them with The Queens Award for Enterprise and International Trade.

It is the third time the company, which recycles and refits computer and electronic equipment, has received the prize.

During his visit the Queen’s cousin was given a guided tour of the 22 acre RDC site, on the Springwood Industrial estate and was introduced to staff.

Prince Edward, 76, said he was “extremely pleased” to present the company with its third Queens Award.
