An investigation into an incident at a glass manufacturing factory which left a man hospitalised has now been closed.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) opened an investigation into the accident at Essex Safety Glass Ltd, in Moss Road, Witham, when an employee suffered deep cuts to his chest whilst at work.
Krzyszdof Chmielewski, 33, was thought to be carrying glass when it happened, on April 3, and was taken to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, where he stayed for one night.
A spokesperson for the HSE said the investigation into the incident at Essex Safety Glass Ltd has concluded and no further action will be taken.
Scott Sinden, managing director of Essex Safety Glass, added: “Based on satisfactory health and safety processes being in place with no further action required, HSE’s investigation is now closed.
“We are also pleased to report that the staff member concerned has returned to work on full duties.”
