Braintree: Attempted knife robbery at post office
A post office has been targeted by a 'knife wielding' thief.
The robber entered the post office in Panfield Lane, at around 1pm, but left before police arrived at the scene.
A police spokesman said: "Officers were contacted shortly after 1pm after reports the post office in Panfield Lane had been attacked by a knife wielding thief.
"They have arrived and are taking statements from customers and shop staff to establish the circumstances of the robbery."
