A young man who survived a 70ft fall is running a marathon exactly a year after slipping from a fifth floor balcony.
Sam Kean, 21, punctured both lungs and fractured his pelvis, left heel bone, lower jaw, right thigh, both elbows and three ribs last May.
Sam, who later recuperated at the family home in Brain Valley Avenue, Black Notley, is now running the Belfast Marathon – his first marathon - on Bank Holiday Monday to raise money for St Mary’s intensive care unit.
He has already raised about £1,000.
