Braintree town centre could undergo a transformation focusing on distinct ‘quarters’ reflecting its cultural, civic and shopping hubs.
Much of the focus of residents’ attention has so far been on the controversial new shopping centre planned for the bus park in Victoria Street and Manor Street.
That project, expected to cost about £14million, will be paid for by developer Henry Boot Developments.
But Braintree Council stresses it is only part of the overall regeneration plans for the town centre.
