A BRAINTREE mum joined Princess Beatrice and Nell McAndrew in the National Lottery’s Olympic Park Run in London last Saturday.

Debbie Stone, 47, of Darwin Close, was one of 5,000 runners who made history by being the first to cross the London 2012 finish line.

Miss Stone, who has a black belt in kickboxing, finished the five-mile race in 50 minutes.

Her daughter Kate Winter, 13, who also has a black belt in kickboxing, and friend Nicky Smith, 44, were spectators and saw Princess Beatrice cross the finish line.
