A HISTORIC mill gutted by fire could be replaced with a four bedroom house and nature reserve.
The 19th-century Old Mill House in Robinsbridge Road, Coggeshall, has been empty since 1974.
The Croll Group, which owns the site, wants to build a two-storey house with the style in keeping with the former mill.
Plans have been submitted to Braintree Council and include a community nature reserve at the rear of the site.
The plans are open for public comment until March 6.
