Two Braintree secondary schools are full to bursting - a situation set to worsen within five years.
Tabor Science College and Notley High School, which incorporates Braintree Sixth Form, are currently oversubscribed according to Essex County Council figures.
The schools already have 54 children on roll above their capacity.
The council predicts the situation will worsen by 2016 with 2,491 children wanting to attend the two schools - 67 children above the schools’ combined 2,424 capacity.
