A man has been hospitalised after a house fire.
Emergency services were called to a house fire in Harvest Fields, Brewers End, Takeley, at 7.50pm yesterday.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: "A man from the property was conveyed to Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow, after suffering the effects of smoke inhalation."
Another person also suffered smoke inhalation.
Six fire crews tackled the blaze, which had spread to two floors of the terraced house.
It was put out by 8.20pm.
The cause of the fire is unknown and is being investigated.
