Pupils unveiled their project which aimed to make an intimidating subway more welcoming.
Powers Hall Junior schoolchildren created pictures and paintings to redecorate the underpass in Spa Road which is near their school.
The revamp began after classmates Elizabeth Dortel and Ella Louisa Gornall wrote to Braintree Council asking for their help to clean up the subway which they said was scary due to all the graffiti.
About 20 pupils from all year groups worked together in the project to decorate nine boards.
Following workshops with Graffworkz artist Johnathan Howes their work was displayed at an event attended by Witham MP Priti Patel, district councillors and mayor of Witham Town Council Janet Money.
