A teenager who has battled a rare disease for more than a decade can only hope for a miracle cure.
Tasha Corrigan of Silver End, Witham, was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) after suffering chronic stomach pain and joint ache which has often left her unable to eat or walk since the age of eight.
The 18-year-old is now fundraising, along with her friend Ebony who also suffers from the disease, to travel to America in the hope of more advanced treatment as in the UK it is limited to pain management. Anyone who wishes to sponsor the girls or help fundraise can visit the Facebook page Tasha and Ebonys EDS fight-plan USA.
