A basketball project for young homeless people in Braintree has received a £1500 windfall from Stansted Airport.
The money will go towards The Foyer’s ‘Look Up To Yourself’ project, which will see former England Basketball International Carl Miller try to give young people confidence through playig sport.
Foyer manager Mark Watson said: “We are extremely grateful to Stansted Airport for their donation which will allow us to deliver an exciting project with a proven track record of motivating and developing talent to benefit the young people of Braintree.”
The charity, in St Michael’s Road, is part of the Salvation Army Housing Association and provides accommodation for 16 to 25-year-olds.
