A charitable trust has been set up in memory of a meningitis victim.
The Sam Bearman Trust remembers 24-year-old Sam Bearman of Plains Field, Braintree, who died on January 6 this year.
Mr Bearman’s family said: “His death has left a huge hole in the lives of his family and many friends, and it is this hole that we fill with the legacy of Sam and the aims of the trust.”
The trust will be used to distribute the money raised from the Big Bear Fest (BBF) music festival, which will become an annual event.
The first BBF will be on September 3 this year at Towerlands Park, Panfield Road, Braintree.
