A ballot for businesses to vote on a Braintree town centre improvement project has been delayed.
The business improvement district (BID) ballot was due to take place in September, but has been put back until February to give companies more time to find out what the project will mean for them.
It comes as Braintree Council announced it would give £50,000 towards the BID if it goes ahead - equivalent to £125 for all 403 town centre businesses.
