1,000 mile bike ride to help kids on the right track
A cycling enthusiast is taking on his biggest challenge yet in a bid to put youngsters on the right track.
Adrian Beckett, 26, of Tye Green, Cressing, will start his 1,000 mile ride along from John O Groats in Scotland to Lands End in Cornwall along with two friends this Sunday.
Last year he completed a ride from Essex to Lands End but in this challenge is aiming to raise £8,000 for Positive Futures, a charity which helps youngster from deprived areas to avoid crime drugs and alcohol.
Mr Beckett said: “I think the work they do is incredibly important."
