A survivor of a head on collision is back behind the wheel after her driving school donated a car.
Sarah Peatling, of Wethersfield, suffered lacerations to her face, a fractured jaw, broken teeth and broken ribs in the crash near her home in icy conditions.
The 21-year-old, whose car was written off in the smash, could not replace it because of insurance complications and also lost her job as she struggled to travel to work.
She still has scars on her face, hands and hip after the crash and had to have £200 of dental work.
Mr Hicks, who works as a driving instructor for Benson School of Motoring where Miss Peatling passed her test, said he was glad she would be able to travel to her new job as hotel receptionist.
