Plucky punters brought a new meaning to the phrase 'pub crawl'.
Eleven pairs of competitors took part in the Finchingfield Grand Three-Legged Race, which saw them racing around the village, wading through the pond and downing four pints along the way.
Teams from the universities of Bath and Reading travelled down to take part and many were in fancy dress.
But it was Finchingfield Cricket Club members Kirk Maddern and Iain Ruggles-Brise who retained the title, shaving 10 seconds off last year’s time.
