A Witham man was involved in a collision in which a cyclist died.
Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road collision in Harwich last night.
It happened at about 8.30pm.
A white Iveco articulated lorry, driven by a 53-year-old man from Witham was in collision with a bicycle being ridden by a 20-year-old woman from Harwich.
It happened on the A120 near Phoenix Bridge.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Colchester General Hospital where she later died.
Both vehicles were travelling towards Harwich when the collision happened and the road was closed for five hours for initial investigations to be carried out and the vehicle to be recovered.
