Witham Town Football Club has been broken into and its fruit machines ransacked.
The damage was discovered on Monday morning, and thousands of pounds is thought to have been taken.
Club chairman Tony Last vowed not to let the burglary get him down, but said he would like to get his hands on whoever did it.
