Traffic: The highways department at Essex County Council has agreed a scheme for two-way (shuttle working) traffic signals and a footway under the railway bridge on Coggeshall Road, to be installed during 2009-2010.
Dog litter bin: Councillors asked dog owners who clear up after their dogs to ensure the bags are placed in a bin which is specifically for dog litter.
There are ten dog litter bins in Feering, located on the playing field, the community centre car park, The Green, by Lulworth on Feering Hill, footpath 16 Feering Hill, end of New Lane, Glebe Gardens, opposite Church Farm on footpath 8 and at the entrance to the new cricket field in Rye Mill Lane.
These are emptied by Braintree Council, using the appropriate health and safety equipment.
The council is arranging for an extra dog litter bin to be installed at the start of footpath 14, at the bottom of Worlds End Lane.
Waste collections: The last garden waste collection this year will take place on October 25, in Glebe Gardens, from noon to 12.20pm, and Rye Mill Lane, from 12.25pm to 12.55pm.
The last manned refuse collection for this year will be on November 8, at the bottom of Feering Hill at the same times.
