A BRAINTREE business which provides aeroplane parts to airlines across the globe has been honoured with an industry award.

Airline Component Services (ACS), on Springwood industrial estate, is to be awarded with a King’s Award for Enterprise, and will be one of only 257 organisations across the UK to be recognised with it this year.

The company is a specialist supplier of flying controls to commercial aircraft owners and operators, and was founded 19 years ago in 2005.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise recognise outstanding achievement by UK businesses through the categories of innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility.

ACS will receive the award in the international trade category.

The Braintree business will be invited to a royal reception and be presented with a receive a certificate and crystal trophy by one of King Charles’ lord-lieutenants.
